Near the end of Dalrymple
Road, where the track to the top of Mt Dalrymple starts. The track
leads off up the bank at the right of the photo. The property number
2073 is opposite the start of the track. To
walk from here to the top of Mt Dalrymple and back takes a full day.
The ungraded, undulating track is entirely through rainforest,
crossing a couple of beautiful creeks. Plastic strips
tied
around the trunks of trees aid navigation. There is no water
near
the top of the mountain, but there is an open area of largely flat rock
with numerous King orchids.
